How to Spot Bad SEO Companies

How to Spot Bad SEO Companies

Everyone knows that there are millions of businesses that you can find online. Some of these businesses will be good and some of these businesses will be bad. There are those that offer you great products and service and there are those that lure you into availing of their products and services with empty advertising promises. These bad apples, or the companies that are nothing but bad news are not just limited to those that sell substandard products and give you bad customer service but also those companies that offer you SEO services. Nowadays, it is not enough for most people and businesses to just have a website; no indeed because they want their website to be top ranked on various search engines. This is what SEO stands for by the way, search engine optimization and it works by making manipulating data and links so that a certain website will rank highly in search engine rankings. You might be wondering what the big deal is about a high search engine ranking but you have to understand that with the millions of websites out there, some websites may get lost. Having a high rank just ensures that you are more visible to people who are online.

One way that you may spot a bad SEO service company is if you get spam email from them. This email will be unsolicited and will tell you that they have noticed that your website does not appear to be very high in the ranks and they can help you with that problem. They will offer you a 30 day free trial of their services if you just give them full access to your website. Now, there some very odd things here because legit SEO companies will not have to send spam email; they should have a high enough ranking so that you will see them if you are indeed interested. Also, those spam emails are some things that even Bill Gates gets in his email so obviously, they are nothing but malicious people trying to mess with your head and also your website. If you get these spam email from so-called SEO companies, delete them.
